Dr. Rex Painter, DDS — Founding Owner & General Dentist
Dr. Rex Painter is the founding owner of Island Dentists, established in Palatka in 2024. With more than 30 years of experience, he has built his career around compassionate, patient-centered dentistry and the belief that every patient should feel like family.
Dr. Painter earned his undergraduate degree from California State University, Los Angeles and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the Medical College of Virginia, followed by hospital residency at the University of Florida.
As Dr. Painter gradually reduces his clinical schedule, he remains an active leader and mentor at Island Dentists, helping guide the practice and its growing team of dental professionals.
Outside the office, Dr. Painter enjoys spending time with family, staying active, and surfing. His longtime philosophy continues to reflect his approach to dentistry: “Making the world a better place, one smile at a time.”
Dr. Farpour “Nami” Namiranian, DMD — General Dentist
Dr. Farpour “Nami” Namiranian is passionate about combining compassionate dental care with the latest advancements in technology. His interest in healthcare began with the study of kinesiology before he discovered his passion for dentistry and pursued his dental doctorate. Today, he is committed to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through personalized and modern dental care.
Dr. Nami is dedicated to continuing education and has completed advanced training in oral surgery, root canal therapy, advanced socket grafting using platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), and Invisalign. He continues to expand his knowledge in digital dentistry, dental implants, and specialized treatments to provide his patients with high-quality, comprehensive care.
Dr. Nami’s passion for learning extends beyond the treatment chair. He enjoys staying current with emerging dental technologies and techniques that can improve patient comfort, treatment options, and long-term results.
Dr. Eve Pence, DMD — General Dentist
Dr. Eve Pence is passionate about creating a safe, comfortable environment where patients feel heard and confident in their dental care. Inspired by her own childhood dental experiences, she strives to provide “redemptive dental treatment” that transforms the way patients feel about visiting the dentist.
Dr. Pence earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) and Master of Public Health (MPH) from A.T. Still University after completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida. Her experience includes restorative and cosmetic dentistry, extractions, root canal therapy, implants, clear aligners, dentures, and digital dentistry. She remains committed to continuing education and advanced dental techniques.
Dr. Pence recently relocated to North Florida with her husband and their two pups, Peanut and Teddy. With a strong background in community service and dental outreach, she is excited to serve the patients of Island Dentists and make North Florida home.
